An assessment before another change to your routine

An acne consultation starts with understanding the breakouts and the person experiencing them. Different types of acne may need different approaches, and some conditions can resemble acne. Our planned consultations will review your concerns, your current routine, and previous treatments before discussing appropriate next steps.

Recurring or persistent breakouts

Describe where breakouts occur, how long they have been present, and whether they change over time. Include what has helped, what has irritated your skin, and what has been difficult to keep using.

Tender or deeper blemishes

If breakouts are uncomfortable or seem to leave lasting marks, make that part of the conversation. The type and extent of the concern matter when discussing care.

Marks and appearance concerns

Active breakouts and marks left behind can be different concerns. Tell us which changes bother you most so the discussion can address your priorities without assuming one treatment will address everything.

A routine you can explain

Bring the names or photos of your cleansers, moisturizers, sunscreens, and acne products. Include prescription treatments and how long you used them, rather than only a list of brand names.

What to bring to an acne consultation

01

Your treatment history

Make a short list of products and prescriptions you have tried, roughly how long you used each, and any side effects or irritation.

02

Your health information

Bring medication and allergy information, along with relevant medical history. Share pregnancy or pregnancy-planning information because it can affect treatment choices.

03

Your questions and priorities

Ask what the plan is intended to address, when it should be reviewed, and what to do if it is hard to follow. Treatment decisions should include realistic expectations.

Questions before your visit

Do I need to know which acne treatment I want?

No. It is useful to explain your concerns and what you have already tried. The assessment helps guide the discussion about options.

Is acne only a concern for teenagers?

No. Adults can also experience acne. Our planned acne consultations focus on the individual concern and history; appointment details will be confirmed closer to opening.

Where will Horizon be located?

Our future office is at Southern Hills Medical Office Building, 9280 W. Sunset Road, Suite 426, on the 4th Floor in Las Vegas. Opening is planned for March 2027.
